There is no rose without a thorn 英文諺語
There is no rose without a thorn 朵朵玻瑰皆有刺
When enjoying any beautiful or pleasant thing, you must endure something difficult or painful; every apparently desirable situation has its share of trouble or difficulty. Rose thorns are a protective adaptation to keep animals from destroying the rosebush (animals don’t want to get too close or they will get pricked).
Ken: “My bride is lovely and gracious, but I’m discovering that she has a terrible temper.”
Kate: “There’s no rose without a thorn.”
